Brief /
I created a comprehensive visual system for a film festival based on single director’s films. The purpose of the project is to create and present a unique, complex, and focused visual system via a personal, documented, and repeatable design process.

The I chose Cameron Crowe, who is a director and a rock music journalist. He is famous for 90’s movies, such as “Almost Famous”, “Jerry Maguire”, and inspiring soundtracks. The thematic thread throughout his movies involves searching for direction toward the future through adventure and preparing for the next step in life. Many of his movies took places in California.
I took a road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles in order to shoot my own photography. This road trip not only provided photos but also inspired me to create the deliverables for the project. The color tone throughout the project was inspired by the sunshine of California.
